A Note from Joseph Caulkins
As the new Artistic Director of Key Chorale, I want to take this opportunity to tell you how excited I am about the upcoming season, and to thank you for your continued support of choral music in our community. For 21 years, Daniel Moe has led the chorale in performing the masterworks of choral music, and I am honored to be carrying on that great legacy. We have a wonderful year ahead and…
I look forward to seeing you at our concerts and special events!

Enjoy an exhilarating new season of choral music under the artistic leadership of Joseph Caulkins as Key Chorale begins its 22nd season. The chorale welcomes the dynamic programming of its new artistic director and conductor as he continues Key Chorale’s tradition of performing great choral music in Sarasota.
For over 20 years, Daniel Moe led Key Chorale to an enviable and renowned level of artistic achievement. Mr. Caulkins will be carrying on this legacy and taking Key Chorale to even greater heights while fostering opportunities to work with the chorale’s other arts partners and creating innovative concert events that will reach new audiences.
This season, you will discover his passion for bringing the unexpected to audiences, as the chorale performs rediscovered works by Andre Campra and Charles Ives in their long delayed Florida premieres along with some of the most sublime and familiar music ever written for a chorus. Key Chorale will continue its role as the Official Chorus of the Florida West Coast Symphony with a performance of Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy as part of the Cliburn Series in October and concluding in April with Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, Resurrection. This is a season you will not want to miss!
Come join us in this new era of innovation and tradition!
